Joana Roza began her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2015 at the former Akxe BJJ Headquarters. She was awarded her black belt in 2023 under Vinicius Campelo, co-founder of Alliance Jiu-Jitsu and founder of Akxe BJJ. Joana comes from a prestigious lineage tracing back to legends Rickson Gracie and Helio Gracie, and brings years of experience on the mats.

She is now part of the Gracie Humaita family, where she leads the Kids’ classes with a patient and nurturing approach. Joana also teaches Ladies’ classes, empowering women with self-confidence and practical self-defense skills.
